Opal Dancey Grants 2012 Application

All applications must be received April 15th to be considered.

Eligibility:  
Grants are awarded for the study of a Master of Divinity degree only. No grants will be awarded for any other course of study.

To be eligible, the candidate must be a full time student and

A. Plan to attend an accredited theological seminary located within the Great Lakes Region or plan to attend Asbury Theological Seminary.

B. Be a resident of the Great Lakes Region, have been a resident for at least 2 years of a Great Lakes state and plan to attend an accredited theological seminary outside of the region.

The Great Lakes Region is considered the following:

• Illinois
• Indiana
• Michigan
• Minnesota
• New York
• Ohio
• Pennsylvania
• Wisconsin

Decisions & Notifications:  
Award notifications are sent out by early July.  If you have not received a reply by July 10th, you can assume that you have not been awarded a grant.  Please do not call or email for a status of your application.

*Please note:  If you are not awarded a grant, please consider applying for the following year.  We have many more applications than we can grant and because a grant is not awarded, does not mean that we believe you are unworthy of a grant, but merely that we have had to make some difficult decisions.
